Import

The freshest fruit year-round!

When fruit from our apple, pear and cherry trees are no longer in season, CMI Orchards works directly with leading fruit producers from the Southern Hemisphere to provide product continuity. Apples, pears and cherries are our business. Decades of experience allow us to ensure quality every step of the way. Over many years we have identified leading fruit growers in Argentina, Chile and New Zealand that can reliably meet CMI's tough product standards.

Apples & Cherries from Chile

CMI Orchards is the exclusive importer of Unifrutti apples and cherries into the US. We take pride in selling Unifrutti products because they are a leading global fruit producer. Unifrutti packs to the same stringent grade standards as CMI, allowing us to provide consistent quality for our most popular fruit varieties.

CMI imported 30% of all Chilean apples last year, offering bicoastal distribution from our group of Central Washington warehouses and our partner receiving warehouse in Philadelphia.

Pears from Argentina

CMI Orchards is proud to be the exclusive North American partner with Kleppe S.A., a family-owned company of over 50 years that is located in the northern part of Patagonia, Argentina. There, the rich alluvial soils and unique micro-climate weather conditions perfectly suited to the production of outstanding dessert quality pears.

Apples & Pears from Argentina

Established by exceptionally skilled growers and packers in 1974, PAI is dedicated to bringing the fruits of their labor to overseas markets. With a total of nine packing companies and more than 280 small and medium-sized growers located in northern Patagonia, Argentina, PAI’s cumulative planted surface is over 3,200 hectares—including orchards, packing plants, coldstores and logistics services.

PAI produces fresh, high-quality fruit while prioritizing human health and the preservation of the environment, in cooperation with and for the growers.

Their skills included technical assistance according to the requirement of each plantation, including all aspects of the growing operation, such as sanity monitoring, pruning, thinning, nutrition, irrigation, and harvest dates to name a few.
